If church leaders were actually "allergic to nonsense", they should have all dropped dead by now due to overexposure to allergens.

As we all should know, the term propaganda has become a word only applied to totalitarian regimes, in democracies we call the same phenomenon communications. Hence in Australia the goebbelesce institution is called Government Communications Unit.

A Wikipedia article on propaganda gives us the following explanation:

"Propaganda is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behavior of large numbers of people. Instead of impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience. The most effective propaganda is often completely truthful, but some propaganda presents facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis, or gives loaded messages in order to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the cognitive narrative of the subject in the target audience."

Currently Australians are being flooded with ads on TV, radio, and in print media, trying to convince everyone who doesn't run a business, that the latest attack by the Liberal government on the benefits of employees is a good thing for all involved. So while schools and hospitals are lacking funds, our current government always seems to have millions of dollars to spend on their propaganda. Sadly, pointing this out just leads to a finger-pointing game, with the Liberal government noting "Labor has also done it".

I'm just glad someone else had the same idea, to create a series of videos with sticky notes, based on the original financed by our government, that states the actual facts.

Supposedly over 75% of the population in the UK and USA feel that they are not being sufficiently watched, and I'm pretty sure one will find similar numbers for Australia. In other words, Big Brother isn't forced upon us, as suggested by Orwell, but rather is brought to us upon our own asking. After centuries of indoctrination, human beings are finally prepared to accept an all controlling government.

Great, because what we have discovered in the past couple of decades of increased application of surveillance technologies is not a reduction in criminal activities, but certainly beneficial effects to our economies. And if there is one objective we can all agree upon, it is having a growing economy. Who cares if greater wealth is not linked with greater happiness. Who cares about happiness, as long as we all feel a little bit less secure to keep it all going.

In Germany a bunch of hippies are demonstrating for less surveillance. Best we round them up and look them away for good, so that we all can feel safer from being asked to think for ourselves.

Just always keep in mind: if you haven't done anything wrong, you have nothing to fear! [... besides the authority deciding on right and wrong]

I'm sure you have all heard about the multiple, vicious, heartless, fear inducing, and devastatingly destructive and disuptive attacks, which had recently been launched against the UK, and therefore the rest of the world (not living under Sharia jurisdiction).

The UK's top secret secret service, MI5 have released a mugshot of the suspected suspects of the recent puff-blob-notsomuch-kawum.

If you spot one of these vicious thugs, don't play hero. Call a professional pest-control person. These dirt-bags are armed and dangerous, have a hunger for fear-biscuits, and like to ruin a free citizens beloved tea-time.

Don't allow them to steal your liberties and feeling of security, or they will render our current administrations completely and utterly useless.

There is a pest crawling amongst us, and slowly taking a grip on our best and brightest - Developmentalism. It's just f@(7!ng mental. Those bloody do-gooders want to rape unexpected soles in developing countries from their chance to learn how hard it is, to start a business and with good fortune strike it rich. And even worse, they want to steal from them such valuable experiences as hunger, disease, and death. Our societies seem infested by people who believe, something should and can be done, when clearly nature has already devised the best mechanism for advancement to occur. Natural selection has already done its selection of ideologies. Determined Communism, Socialism, and Fascism to be dead, while leaving Capitalism as the sole surviver.

If anyone believes there would be any significant changes in Australian politics and policies, if Labour were elected in the next election, think again.

Not only has Rudd shown last week, that all the talk from Labour about IR was just a patting on the heads of workers to ensure their vote, but also all their pissing on the current governments water policies is nothing but hot air. After all, on a state level, it has been Labour who was in power, and hence share a substantial part of the blame for the problems Australia, but especially its farmers in the Murray Darling Basin are currently confronted with. And let's also not forget Rudd's strong support for the continuation of private schools draining funding from public schooling.

And now the same guy who supported G. W. Bush, M. Thatcher, and Blair, is trying to sell us an Australian Version of the later. As has been reported through different news outlets, Rupert Murdoch backs Rudd as PM. Just another experience showing, don't read news and eat at the same time.

Australia is screwed, as there only seems to be a choice between two people who believe in the power of prayers. Problems have to be traced to their causes, and that's where we spot the human race. So if we are to resolve the conundrums we have caused, we better start changing our behaviour, and not hope some tea pot in the sky will offer relief.
