I recently discovered a threat to anyone who might still be using a former web address (URL) of mine.

You will be infected by a virus just by opening the above site in your browser. Decent virus protection software will prevent an infection, as this is how I became aware of the threat.

For Windows-users I can highly recommend ClamWin or AVG, for those interested.

Also having JavaScript disabled by default helps, but most users don't like the "inconvenience" of taking precautions when browsing the web. I highly recommend using the NoScript Firefox/Mozilla extension, which allows you to easily control which sites are to be JavaScript enabled, as most webmail and e-banking sites require you to have JavaScript enabled.
